Eligibility Criteria
- Merit-based
- Student scholarship recipient(s) must be enrolled as a graduate student in the College of Education
- Majoring in special populations, or the equivalent
- Interested in pursuing a career in education for students with special needs and/or neurological differences
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Preference given to students currently employed as an instructor by HISD who have an interest in continuing employment with HISD with a specialized focus on serving early childhood through 6th grade students with special needs and/or neurological differences
- Scholarship is renewable provided the recipient(s) continue to meet the criteria
Awards for this scholarship will be determined by the College of Education Scholarship Committee.
