10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Written by Salman Rushdie
Adapted by David Tushingham and Tim Supple
Directed by Adam Noble

In a city so ruinously sad that it has forgotten its name, a master storyteller suddenly falls silent. Troubled, his son Haroun sets out to find the fabled Sea of Stories and revive the storyteller's gift. On that journey, Haroun finds that many of his father's outlandish tales - filled with magic and fantastic creatures - are not only beautiful but also true. This all-ages play, closely adapted from the classic children's novel, is a fanciful adventure exploring the struggle between light and darkness and highlighting the human need to communicate. It is a fable written out of Salman Rushdie's own famous battle with censorship.
