Lily Ng ('89) is no stranger to refining business strategies by charting new frontiers with a vision. Prior to joining Vietnam Land Group as Deputy CEO overseeing real estate projects, she was the CEO and board director of Foodie, an award-winning digital content platform. She grew and transformed Foodie’s business by connecting the food industry, investors, startups and the public to create a food media ecosystem and pioneered the Food’s Future Summit, an award-winning annual event that brings together food innovations around the globe on one platform.

Lily’s career prior to joining Foodie includes the positions of president of Caesars Global Living Asia at Caesars Entertainment Corporation, and executive vice president at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels, China. In addition to being an astute businesswoman, Lily’s leadership is evident in the many recognitions her teams have received, such as Spark Awards for Media Excellence at Foodie, and twice as Best Hospitality Service Institution in China, to name a few.

A Hong Kong native, Lily is a true global citizen who has lived and traveled around the world. She studied and built a successful corporate career in the United States for more than 20 years before returning to Asia to take up residency in Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai and eventually Hong Kong. In China alone, she has advised over 300 clients and more than US$10-billion of hospitality assets. She is fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.

Lily holds a Master of Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Houston. A frequent speaker at conferences and author on hospitality and food trends, she has been honored with the prestigious recognition of China’s Top 10 Female Leaders by the World Hotel Association.
