Duke TIP Scholar Weekend

Duke TIP Scholar Weekends provide opportunities for academically talented students in grades 8-11 to take short courses during weekend-long programs at University of Houston campus.

The Duke TIP Scholar Weekends program was held at the University of Houston on April 21-22, 2007. Here are some images from the event.

To be eligible for the weekend program, students must have participated in the Duke TIP talent search or been identified as academically gifted/talented by local school criteria. Courses introduce topics that might not be available in students’ local schools. They provide enrichment, sharpen skills, and help students define pathways to college majors and careers. In addition, they provide a glimpse into the collegiate experience and an opportunity for students to interact with similarly motivated students.

Since 1980, the Duke Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) has been a world leader in identifying academically talented students and providing innovative programs to support the development of their optimal potential.
